What to Expect on Your First Visit
Visiting a church for the first time can feel a little intimidating, but we want you to feel right at home. Whether you’ve been to church for years or this is your very first time, you are welcome here!
What Is a Service Like?
Our worship services are traditional, friendly, and centered on the Word of God. A typical Sunday morning service lasts about 60 to 90 minutes.
We begin with a few moments of silent prayer, either by yourself or with someone close to you, followed by an opening prayer from our pastor. We then worship together by singing traditional hymns accompanied by piano.
During the service, we also take a few moments to greet one another. Don’t worry if you don’t know anyone yet—this is simply a friendly opportunity to say hello and meet some of the people around you.
We continue with a Bible reading from the King James Version (KJV), more congregational singing, church announcements, and an offering. As our guest, please don’t feel any pressure or obligation to give.
The heart of our service is the preaching of God’s Word. Our preaching is Bible-centered and includes a mixture of verse-by-verse teaching, practical application, and evangelistic messages.
At the conclusion of the message, we have a time of invitation. This provides an opportunity for anyone who would like to respond to the message, pray, or speak with someone about a spiritual need. As a visitor, there is no pressure or expectation for you to come forward.
